An encounter broke out on Friday between militants and security forces in Tral area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
No casualties have been reported so far, they said.

“There has been an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists at Tral in Pulwama district,” a police spokesman said.
The Rashtriya Rifles, the special operations group (SOG) of the police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were locked in the fighting in Darganai Gund village, a police officer said.
Search operations are still being carried out in the area. Authorities suspended mobile Internet services in the area.
