Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim out on 40-day parole
Notably, the Dera chief was also granted parole ahead of the Haryana panchayat election and Adampur Assembly bypoll. Rahim was granted parole for a month on June 17.
Honeypreet Insan, the absconding adopted daughter of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, has been nabbed by the Haryana Police in Panchkula.
Earlier, she gave interviews to a couple of TV channels, wherein she insisted that all charges against her were frivolous and she will apply for bail in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Honeypreet, whose real name is Priyanka Taneja and is facing charges of sedition, told TV channels from an undisclosed location that she would surrender after advice from her lawyers.
In the interview she alleged that a pure relationship between her father, Ram Rahim, and her had been tarnished intentionally.

There were talks that she had fled to Nepal after Dera chief Ram Rahim was convicted of rape and sent to Rohtak jail. She had remained in the hiding for nearly 38 days.
She had accompanied the Dera head when he was brought to the special CBI court in Panchkula for the pronouncement of the verdict in 15-year-old rape case. She also travelled along with him in a special chopper which ferried them to Rohtak from Panchkula after the conviction.
The police had issued a lookout notice against Honeypreet and she had gone underground.
