During her official programme at Suri in Birbhum district chief minister Mamata Banerjee has announced setting up of three new medical colleges in the state yesterday, which has brought joy amongst the MBBS aspirants in West Bengal.
Taking undue help of the advanced electronic devices, 12 MBBS students were caught cheating during an examination in Muzaffarnagar on Tuesday.
An FIR is registered against all the 12 students.
The media coordinator of Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Prashant Kumar, while confirming the incident, told that the medical examination was going on at Jain Kanya Degree College when these 12 MBBS students were caught cheating by the flying squad of the CCS University.
An FIR has been registered against the 12 students, informed Dr Seema Jain, Principal Jain Kanya Degree College.
Prashant Kumar said, “On its surprise visit on Tuesday at Jain Kanya Degree College in Muzaffarnagar, where the supplementary examination was going on, the flying squad of CCSU realised that some MBBS students were carrying high technology electronic devices hidden in their clothes and these they were using for cheating.
“Some students were wearing a wig to hide their electronic device while some hid it inside their clothes.”
Kumar said that all the students were from Muzaffarnagar Medical College.
Now they would face legal action as an FIR has been registered against them, also, they would be barred from the college for at least one semester or for 2 years, told Kumar, adding that the university could even consider cancelling their admission.
The students of this particular college were found involved in such unscrupulous activities in the past too. In January this year, students of this college were caught cheating during another exam.
