Alleging that Congress and BJP have the same agenda, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav said that a conspiracy is being hatched to oust the OBC community from power by ending the reservation by the BJP governments.

Disclosing that he had not received any invitation for Bharat Jodo Yatra from the Congress, Akhilesh Yadav said there was not much difference between BJP and Congress as both are two sides of the same coin.

Attacking the Yogi Adityanath Government over the OBC reservation fiasco in the urban local bodies poll in UP, Yadav said, “The behaviour of the BJP towards the backwards has been step-motherly. Today, the reservation of backward classes has been taken away. This is cheating. The right given by Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar is being snatched away.”

“This is happening in other institutions as well. A conspiracy is being hatched to oust the OBC community from power by ending the reservation. There is a conspiracy to hold back the generations to come. BJP wants the votes of the backward but does not want to give their share in power,” he further alleged.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, the SP president said that the governments of UP and Delhi were formed with the votes of backward castes, but there is no place for that society.

“SP will now oppose every conspiracy of BJP. Right now the rights of backward people have been snatched away, in the future the rights of Dalits will be snatched away too,” he said while adding that earlier, the same thing was done in the results of the Police Recruitment Board by change in the reservation system. This new reservation system resulted in 1700 Dalits and Backwards being denied jobs and the same thing happened in the recruitment of 69000 teachers in the state.

Yadav said that the SP does not trust the government and its policy and his party will go to the Supreme Court over the OBC reservation. ” The BJP does not want to go to the urban Local Bodies polls and want to complicate the issue,” he said.

The SP president said that the state government has ruined the traders of Ayodhya.”There is a demand from the government to give compensation to the traders and give them space to set up their new business, he said.

He announced that he will go to Ayodhya on January 27 and see the losses incurred by the traders.

Akhilesh Yadav said that the government should answer on the scam in university recruitment and AKTU. The government has ignored reservation even in the recruitment of these places. The SP president said that caste census should be done.
