The much publicised Kalank, a film produced by Karan Johar, went on the floor recently and there has been quite a buzz about it. An unexpected incident took place on the sets on Monday. The shoot was disrupted due to ‘unexpected’ arrival of two guests. The shooting of an intense scene featuring Ali Bhatt and Varun Dhawan had to halt,  reportedly, because of two snakes.

The first schedule of Kalank is being shot in Film City, Goregaon, in Mumbai. The cast and crew were busy filming the scene when they noticed two snakes inching towards the actors. While the reptiles were caught and left in a jungle, the shoot was delayed for 1 hour due to this.

Here is the video from the sets of the film that is going viral.

“The actors are on a 45-day schedule, so the team is taking precautions to ensure everyone’s safety after this incident. On Monday afternoon, there was a lot of commotion on set because the snakes were huge, so the shoot came to an immediate halt. After ensuring everyone was safe, the crew took the snakes back into the jungle,” a source revealed.

Earlier, a similar incident happened on the same film set while the shooting of My Name Is Khan. Back then, Abhishek Varma, the director of Kalank, was an assistant director for the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer.

Kalank will see an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur.

The epic drama film is slated to hit the screen on 19 April 2019.
