Balan’s journey with Malayalam cinema dates back to her early days in the industry. While pursuing her master’s degree, she played the female lead in the Malayalam film “Chakram,” alongside veteran actor Mohanlal. Although the film faced production difficulties and was eventually shelved, it marked the beginning of Balan’s association with Malayalam cinema. Over the years, she went on to sign on for 12 other Malayalam language films, showcasing her versatility as an actor.
Despite setbacks such as “Chakram” not seeing the light of day and “Kalari Vikraman” failing to secure a theatrical release, Balan’s love for Malayalam cinema remained unwavering. She even made a guest appearance in the Malayalam film “Urumi”.
