While everyone is gearing up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat on January 25, the latest development on the film has come out of nowhere to surprise the fans.
Yes, SLB’s epic historical film will now release on January 24 in selected cinemas across the nation.

The makers of the film confirmed the latest progress on the official handle of the film on Twitter.
But the twist to this tale is that the film will release on January 24 only in 3D and IMAX 3D formats, targeting only a limited audience on Wednesday with limited paid previews on the premiere night.
Nonetheless, Padmaavat will release across the globe on January 25 in all formats, from 2D to IMAX 3D (something which no other Bollywood film has achieved so far).
With so much going around the release of the film, the makers are leaving no stone unturned by providing a paid screening to a selected batch of fans to deliver the magnum opus in 3D canvas to add word of mouth to the film’s publicity.
Interestingly, the tickets of the film are also available on Book my Show for the 24 January’s screenings.
Seems like Bhansali’s film will indeed release on January 24 with the first show of Padmaavat to screen from 6 pm onwards.
The controversy-ridden Padmaavat, featuring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles, is all set to release worldwide on January 25.
'Love & War' has been 90 percent done for months. The last ten percent, it turns out, involves 200 dancers and a song sequence Bhansali has been planning for weeks.
Nobody cared about Ravi Kishan's 'Dhurandhar' for twelve years. Then Ranveer Singh made a Rs 1000 crore film with the same name and suddenly everyone went looking.
"They tried to put me in jail. They banned me from the media. And now you call this a controversy?" Kangana Ranaut has seen it all before, and she says what Ranveer is facing today is nothing compared to what she survived alone.
