Monali Thakur pens emotional note after father Shakti Thakur’s demise
Shakti Thakur was a singer and actor who primarily worked in Bengali films. He also sang for Bollywood films like "Pasand Apni Apni" (1983) and "Laakhon Ki Baat" (1984).
A month back, Radio City announced the launch of GIGCity Season 3 live multicity simulcast concert on the radio with riveting performances from the best of the music industry. Radio City’s Gig City “Aap Jahaan, Concert Wahaan” is an innovative concept in which listeners can enjoy a LIVE music concert.
This week, they will feature talented singer Monali Thakur on Friday, 13 July, 7 pm onwards. GIGCity Season 3 is hosted by Radio City’s RJ Salil who engages the audience with some interesting facts about the artists and their gig.
Monali Thakur is thrilled to perform at GIGCity Season 3. She said, “Radio as a medium has always excited me and the idea of a live radio concert is personally very appealing. I’m looking forward to connecting with my fans across the nation through this performance on radio. In the past, I have performed live, impromptu, but this will be a very different experience for me. I am really excited just ahead of my performance in the third season of GIG City.”

The entire season of Radio City’s Gig City will span over a month. It started on 15 June and will conclude on 21 July 2018.
