Kim Sae-ron, star of ‘The Man From Nowhere’, passes away at 24

Kim Sae-ron, the South Korean actress best known for her roles in ‘A Brand New Life’ and ‘The Man From Nowhere’, tragically passed away at the age of 24.

The actress was found deceased in her Seoul home on Sunday by a friend who was scheduled to meet her, according to police reports. While authorities have stated that there are no signs of foul play, they are still investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.

Kim Sae-ron, born in 2000 in Seoul, began her acting career as a child. Her breakout role came in 2009 when she starred in ‘A Brand New Life’, a performance that earned her international recognition, including an invitation to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

She had notable appearances in films like ‘The Man From Nowhere’ (2010) and ‘The Neighbor’ (2012).

On television, she starred in ‘Mirror of the Witch’ (2016) and more recently in ‘Bloodhounds’ (2023), where she continued to captivate audiences with her talent. Kim’s performances garnered multiple awards.

In 2022, Kim crashed her car after driving under the influence, which overshadowed her promising career.

The accident caused a power outage that affected 57 stores for several hours. The incident led to a 20 million won fine for Kim and attracted significant media attention.
