Bollywood’s favourite couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set for the D-Day today. There were pre-wedding festivities at the wedding venue in Italy on Tuesday where the couple exchanged rings and celebrated the sangeet and mehendi ceremony. The celebration was an intimate affair as only close friends and family were present.

On Wednesday, the two will tie the knot. According to reports reaching us from Lake Como in Italy, where the fairy-tale wedding is taking place, Bajirao star Ranveer Singh went down on his knees seeking lady love Deepika’s hand. After exchanging the rings, Ranveer professed his love and gave an emotional speech. Deepika could be seen getting emotional. Seeing this, Ranveer immediately hugged and consoled her.

At their mehendi ceremony, Deepika and Ranveer were twinning in their Sabyasachi attires. Deepika wore a white dress while Ranveer wore a black suit. From men to women, everyone applied henna on their hands.

Singer Harshdeep Kaur, along with Sanjoy Das, Bobby Pathak and Firoz Khan performed at the ceremony.

Each guest who arrived for the wedding was personally received by the couple and welcomed with handwritten notes.

There was an intimate dinner followed by a dance session where the couple and the guests let their hair loose. Ranveer’s dad Jagjit Singh Bhavnani could also be seen shaking a leg.

And amid all these wedding festivities, Deepika’s sister Anisha Padukone changed her Instagram name to #Ladkiwale.

The D-Day will take place on November 14 and 15. According to an IANS report, they will marry according to Konkani customs on Thursday, and have a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony the following day.

After their wedding, the duo will be hosting two receptions — one in Bengaluru on November 21 and one in Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt on November 28.
