Bollywood star Deepika Padukone once again found herself at the center of online confusion, thanks to fake social media accounts spreading misleading posts. Unsurprisingly, this post went viral, confusing many fans who thought it was genuinely from the actress. The account has changed the name now.

The reality is that Deepika Padukone is no longer part of ‘Spirit’. Tripti Dimrii replaced her in the film’s lead female role. While the exact reasons for the change remain private, industry whispers suggest that the actress’ well-known professionalism and certain requirements regarding work hours, remuneration, and profit sharing may have been a factor.

Meanwhile, the team behind ‘Spirit’ pushed forward with promotions, marking actor Prabhas’ birthday by releasing the audio teaser, described by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga as a “sound story.”

In just under a minute, the clip introduces a tense scene inside a prison, where a jailer instructs his assistant on handling a former cop in custody. The conversation hints at a gritty, suspenseful storyline but also sparked mixed reactions online, with many praising the suspenseful narration while others focused unnecessarily on the absence of Deepika.

The teaser also confirmed the film’s core cast, which now includes Triptii Dimri, Kanchana, Prakash Raj, and Vivek Oberoi, alongside Prabhas.

Social media can be a double-edged sword. It definitely connects fans and stars like never before. But, needless to say, it also becomes a playground for impersonators and trolls.
