Just when fans thought things were settling after his recent war-drama ‘Maatrubhumi’, fresh gossip from the sets of Salman Khan’s next big project has taken over the internet. And this time, it’s about casting Rajpal Yadav that has everyone talking.
Salman Khan has already moved on to his next project after wrapping up ‘Maatrubhumi’. The upcoming film is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The title is still under wraps, but the excitement around it is already loud.

The film also marks a fresh on-screen pairing for Salman. Actress Nayanthara will be sharing screen space with him for the first time.

But now, the chatter has shifted to another name joining the cast.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, actor Rajpal Yadav has been roped in for an important role in the film. The report suggests that he will be seen as Salman Khan’s right-hand man in the story.
What makes this casting even more interesting is the clarification from the report that this decision is not sentimental or symbolic. It clearly states, “the casting has happened on merit.”
The makers reportedly believe Rajpal fits the role perfectly. And Salman himself is said to be very fond of the actor’s work. Their on-screen pairing is not new either. The two have earlier worked together in popular films like ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ and ‘Partner’.
This casting news has also revived memories of Salman’s earlier public support for Rajpal Yadav during a difficult phase in the actor’s life.
Earlier this year, Rajpal Yadav was in the headlines after being involved in a Rs 9 crore debt case. He was even sent to Tihar Jail in February in connection with a cheque bounce matter.
During that time, many Bollywood figures extended support to him, including Salman Khan. The actor openly stood by Rajpal, especially after an incident at an awards show where Rajpal was allegedly mocked over his financial troubles and past legal issues.
Salman later posted a strong message on social media, where he wrote:
“Rajpal bhai aap 30 yrs se kaam kar rahe ho aur hum sabne aapko repeat kiya hai baar baar kyunki aap apna kaam jante ho aur ek value laate ho, kaam toh aapko bohot milega aur issi dollar rate pe milega aur milte rahega. Hakikat yeh hai. Aur yeh yaad rakhna ke kabhi kabhi flow mai kuch nikal aata hai. dena hi hai toh dimag mai rakho dil se kaam karo, dollar upar ho ya neeche kya farak padta hai dena toh India mai hi hai.”
