Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba is unstoppable at the box office. The collections of the film are proof that the film is winning the hearts of the people.

Simmba, Rohit Shetty’s action drama, has proved to be a favourable film because of the holiday season. Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan’s starrer has minted Rs 150.81 crore in one week.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, on Friday, took to social media and revealed the latest collection of the film till Thursday.

In another tweet, he mentioned that Rohit Shetty’s Simmba has set a benchmark. “#Simmba benchmarks… Crossed ₹ 50 cr: Day 3 ₹ 100 cr: Day 5 ₹ 150 cr: Day 7 With no major release today, #Simmba is sure to dominate the marketplace… ₹ 200 cr mark is definitely within reach… Can even touch ₹ 250 cr, depending on how it trends from next week [11 Jan].”

With Simmba, Rohit Shetty has become the first Bollywood filmmaker whose eight consecutive films have earned over Rs 100 crore each. The streak started with Golmaal 3 in 2010.

Ranveer congratulated filmmaker Shetty writing, “All hail the blockbuster king! Ro-bro be slamming century after century.”

Simmba, a remake of 2015 Telugu hit Temper, stars Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, and Sonu Sood. The film is produced under the banner of Karan Johar’s home production Dharma Productions and was released on 28 December 2018.
