Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti on Friday inspected the ghats along the Ganga river here as part of her 15-day trip across five states to assess the execution of the central government's 'Namami Gange' (National Mission for Clean Ganga) programme.
According to Namami Gange's Twitter handle, Bharti started the tour with an inspection of the cleanliness of ghats along the Ganga river in Kolkata.

The officials of Namami Gange, Central Groundwater Board and other departments were also present.

The minister is expected to meet the stakeholders of the project as well as public along the Kashipur ghat on Friday evening.
