Piqued by the incident of eve-teasing with his sister and his thrashing by a group of boys when he protested, a youth committed suicide in Indranagar locality of Brahampuri thana area here.
A case has been registered against Somil, Vinod and Monu of the same locality for provoking the boy to commit suicide on the complaint of victim’s father. The accused would be arrested as it is a serious matter, said SP City Maan Singh Chauhan.
Father of the victim runs a dairy in Indranagar. On Wednesday night his teenage daughter, a Class 11 student, was going to the dairy when the three accused teased her. Her elder brother saw this and when he objected, he was thrashed and threatened with dire consequences. The brother narrated the incident to his father, who said he will speak to the parents of the boys. But the son was too angry and wanted a revenge.
Soon after the youth hanged himself from the ceiling of his room with his mother’s sari.
