Powerful IEDs recovered near LoC ahead of polling for Udhampur seat
Reports said that the IEDs were recovered near the Line of Control (LoC) in a joint search operation by the Rashtriya Rifles of the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police.
One person was killed and two others injured on Tuesday when a businessman here opened fire at them after they allegedly attacked him, police said.
Charanjit Singh was killed and two others injured when businessman Ranjit Singh fired at them from his licensed pistol in Narwal area here.
“Ranjit Singh has alleged that he was attacked by three persons including Charanjit Singh with a sharp-edged weapon and opened fired in self-defence,” a police officer said, adding that the businessman was arrested after an FIR was lodged in the incident.

The injured persons are being treated in the hospital, police said.
