Sources said that it was decided to increase vigil along the borders with Pakistan to foil infiltration of terrorists. The intelligence apparatus of the two states has also been geared up.
Top brass of the Army, J&K Police, CRPF and intelligence agencies was present in the meeting, said a defence spokesman on Thursday.

Reports said that the terrorists forcibly entered a house and asked for drinking water. The owner of the house and his son managed to escape. However, terrorists fired at them.
Police said strenuous efforts were made to trace these persons during the current year up to 30 April.
Reports said that the IEDs were recovered near the Line of Control (LoC) in a joint search operation by the Rashtriya Rifles of the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police.
The training is focused on operational tactics, intelligence sharing, and counter-terrorism strategies, drawing on the Indian Army’s extensive experience in these fields, a defence spokesman said.
A defence spokesman said that on completion of the training, the police personnel will gain immensely from the experience of Indian Army and it will help them in understanding and undertaking tasks in prevalent security scenario in a better manner.
He said the exercise has raised concerns in the general public.
