Odisha contributes 42% to India’s mineral production: Report
Odisha’s Mineral revenue has reached Rs 38,075 crore in 2022-23 providing the state adequate cushion for developmental spending, the official said.

Four villagers including a Gram Rakhi were kidnapped by armed Maoists from Trilochanpur village, under Bijepur police station jurisdiction, in Kalahandi district of Odisha. Trilocanpur village is located in the foot hill of Niyamgiri.
The Nagavali-Ghumsar division of the ultras is said to be behind the crime.
The kidnapped villagers were identified as Babula Naik, Raju Naik, Bisikesan Naik and Khetra Harijan who is the Gram Rakhi said police sources .

Binod Kumar Rao, the officer in-charge (OIC) of Bijepur police station, said that the Gram Rakhi had earlier been threatened by the Maoists.
