The IAF personnel at Ojhar Air Force station have rushed to the site.

Earlier this month, IAF’s Jaguar aircraft had crashed while on a training mission from the Jamnagar Air Force Station in Gujarat. The fighter reportedly developed a technical problem during landing resulting in the crash.

The pilot of the aircraft safely ejected before the crash. A Court of Inquiry was established by the IAF to investigate the crash.

In another incident, a frontline SEPECAT Jaguar fighter jet of IAF had crashed on 5 June in Jamnagar, Gujarat, killing the high-ranking pilot flying the aircraft.

The Jaguar took off from the Jamnagar air base on a routine mission and crashed at around 10.30 am. The debris of the fighter aircraft was strewn far and wide throughout the Bareja village, where the aircraft crashed.

The village is located near Mundra in the Kutch region of the state.

Air Commodore Sanjay Chauhan, the pilot of the IAF Jaguar, had sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
