Hindu seer attacks Shivraj Singh Chouhan, warns of ousting government

By granting Minister of State (MoS) status to five Hindu religious leaders recently, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan seems to have stepped into a minefield of trouble, as another Hindu seer on Saturday accused the CM being corrupt and threatened that the Sant-Samaj had the power to overthrow his government.

“Shivraj does not know the strength of the real Sadhus associated with Akhadas, as he has dealt with only those so-called Babas whom he can buy,” Mahamandleshwar Swami Vairagyanand, associated with the Panchayati Niranjani Akhada and the Shakti Sadhna Dham of Gandhinagar in Gujarat, told media persons in Bhopal.

“If the real Sadhus come out against Shivraj Singh Chouhan, then he would realise what really is the strength and meaning of the Sant-Samaj,” the seer cautioned.

“On behalf of the Panchayati Niranajani Akhada, I advise Shivraj to stop the dirty work of trying to buy Sadhus,” Vairagyanand averred.

“Or else, the seers have the power to overthrow the Shivraj government too, just like they had done to the Congress,” he threatened. Swami Vairagyanand claimed that there had been a lot of corruption in the ‘Narmada Sewa Yatra’.

He stated that in contrast to the six crore saplings claimed to have been planted by the state government, he was able to spot just a few during his Narmda yatra by a vehicle about 18 days ago.

He lamented that the entire Narmada river had been exploited in many ways through illegal sand mining, tree felling and there was hardly any water left in the holy river.

“Being a true Sanyasi associated with an Akhada, I only believe in the truth and the day I bring Sadhus of the 13 Akhadas to Bhopal, the real truth would be exposed,” Swami Vairagyanand asserted.
