The election discussion between two persons turned hot and hostile in Bageshwar town in Uttarakhand, with one getting out of control to attack the other with a sharp edge weapon. Police arrested Jagdesh Kalakoti on charges of attempt to murder on Thursday.
The shocking incident took place in Bageshwar on Wednesday night. According to local Police Jagdesh Kalakoti and Puran Singh knew each other since a long time. They met at a point and were discussing about the outcome of the Bageshwar assembly seat. After a friendly session, things turned ugly.
The argument turned hot and Jagdesh lost his temper and charged Puran with a sharp edge weapon. Puran suffered deep injuries and after receiving primary medical treatment at Bageshwar was referred to a higher centre for advanced medical care.

Bageshwar Police has assigned Sub Inspector Mahendra the responsibility to investigate the matter. The cops filed a police complain on Kamla Devi, wife of injured Puran Singh.
