Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated in the world-famous Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat in the holy city of Kashi on Saturday evening.
Along with her family members, she offered prayers to Mother Ganga according to Vedic rituals and sought her blessings, praying for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the nation. She also lit a lamp on the banks of the Ganga.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta wrote in the Ganga Seva Nidhi visitors’ book: “I consider myself fortunate to participate in the Ganga Aarti today. I offer my respects at the feet of Mother Ganga. I pray for the well-being of all. I also pray for happiness and prosperity for your state. May Mother Ganga accept my prayer.”
Ganga Seva Nidhi President Sushant Mishra, Treasurer Ashish Tiwari, and Secretaries Surjeet Singh and Hanuman Yadav welcomed and honoured the Chief Minister by presenting her with a shawl, prasad, and a memento.
The Chief Minister spent approximately 45 minutes at Dashashwamedh Ghat. During this time, she was seen offering prayers to Mother Ganga with folded hands and clapping devotionally during the Ganga Aarti. Throughout the event, an atmosphere of great enthusiasm prevailed among the devotees and tourists at the ghat.
