J-K Chief Secy orders timely completion of roads, bridges
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo on Friday stressed on ensuring timely completion of road projects in the Union territory by closely monitoring their pace on ground.

The Army apprehended a drug smuggler, Mohammad Kasim, along with two packets of heroin, on Monday night. The contraband is valued at approximately Rs. 2 crore in the international market.
The arrest was made near the Line of Control in Bhimber Gali area of Poonch district. According to Army spokesman Colonel Manish Mehta, 23-year-old Kasim of Hamirpur village in Balakot block of Poonch district, in the garb of a cattle grazer went to the LoC and received the consignment of heroin from a Pakistani-Occupied Kashmir resident. The troops challenged and apprehended him with the drugs.
The arrest is a significant blow to the nefarious designs of Pakistan Army in facilitating the narco smuggling to fund terrorism in J-K. An FIR has been lodged with the Poonch police.
