Bank holidays 2019 India: The first month of the year 2019 is almost over, making way for the smallest month of the year. February has 28 days this year and is likely to have five bank holidays in all. The bank holiday dates vary with each bank, barring national holidays — Republic Day (January 26), Independence Day (August 15), and Gandhi Jayanti (October 2) — and some other days fixed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) when no operations take place and both public sector and private banks remain closed across the country. The February holiday calendar will only have some regional holidays, like Vasant Panchami and State Day.
