Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta said on Sunday that over the past 12 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership has redefined the scale and pace of country’s development while placing public welfare at the centre of governance.

Gupta, while addressing the Sanskritik Sandhya organised at Rohini’s Sector-10, stated PM Modi completed 12 years of dedicated leadership that have been guided by the ideals of Vishwas (trust), Vikas (development) and Jan Kalyan(public welfare).

Tokhan Sahu, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs and Mayor of Delhi, Pravesh Wahi were present on the occasion along with public representatives, social organisations and a large number of citizens from across the Rohini Assembly Constituency.

Gupta said that the past 12 years have been marked by decisive governance, rapid infrastructure development, digital transformation, expanded social welfare initiatives and a renewed emphasis on inclusive growth. He observed that the government’s commitment to transparency, efficient service delivery and citizen-centric policymaking strengthened public trust, while accelerating the country’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.

Describing the occasion as a celebration of both cultural heritage and national progress, the Delhi Assembly Speaker stated that public participation remains the foundation of democratic governance, and nation-building. He expressed confidence that, under PM Modi’s leadership, the country would advance with greater resolve towards the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat.’

The Sanskritik Sandhya featured devotional bhajans celebrating India’s rich civilisational heritage and artistic traditions.

People from different walks of life and diverse sections of society were brought together on the event, in a vibrant atmosphere of devotion and cultural harmony, which clearly reflected the spirit of public participation.
