She stated that today, a metropolitan city like Delhi is facing serious challenges such as rising air pollution, traffic congestion, and increasing fuel consumption. In such a situation, government efforts alone are not sufficient; collective participation by public representatives, officials, and citizens is equally essential.

Dr. Pant further said that the use of car pooling and e-vehicles not only ensures fuel conservation but also plays a significant role in reducing carbon emissions. She added that if public representatives, officials, and citizens collectively take concrete initiatives in this direction, problems like air pollution and traffic congestion in Delhi can be reduced to a great extent.

Appealing to citizens, the Deputy Mayor said that environmental protection should not remain limited to policies alone but should become a part of everyday lifestyle.

She emphasised that small steps such as adopting car pooling, using public transport, and prioritising eco-friendly modes of transportation can make a significant contribution towards building a cleaner and healthier Delhi for the future.
