Delhi Ministers Parvesh Verma and Manjinder Sirsa on Tuesday slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his alleged indecent remarks against the country’s top leadership and the Congress party leaders’ continued issuance of what they termed irresponsible statements, saying it reflected nothing but political desperation.

Taking to social media platform X, Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma stated that when the public repeatedly rejects them through democratic means, they resort to such language as a distraction tactic.

He claimed that the entire country has witnessed the Congress party’s alleged divisive politics, corruption, and misuse of power over the years. He added that at a time when the country is advancing on the global stage under strong leadership, the Congress party is unable to accept the public support being received by the government.

“Rahul Gandhi must understand that while disagreement is possible in a democracy, maintaining decorum towards constitutional positions like the Prime Minister and the Home Minister is the responsibility of every political party,” Verma added.

Meanwhile, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa also hit out at Rahul Gandhi, stating that the objectionable remarks made against the Prime Minister and the Home Minister reflected the Congress leader’s mindset and the hatred he harbours.

Sirsa said that the Congress leader must apologise to the people of the country for his remarks.

He said that the respect the Prime Minister is receiving on the global stage is, in fact, respect for the entire population of the country and not for the Prime Minister alone.

“Therefore, such objectionable remarks are also against the people of the country, and the Congress leader must apologise to them,” Sirsa added.

Earlier, BJP national president Nitin Nabin also condemned Rahul Gandhi’s remarks against the Prime Minister, stating that his comments were extremely unfortunate as they exposed his anarchic and divisive mindset.

Nabin said that in Indian politics, where there has traditionally been a culture of integrity and mutual respect, such indecent language is completely unacceptable.
