Tour programmes of UP Legislative Council committees postponed

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal, state governments have begun implementing initiatives to save fuel and reduce official convoys.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decided to reduce the fleets of the Chief Minister, ministers, and senior officials by 50 per cent in Uttar Pradesh.

The UP assembly has postponed all its committee tours and decided to have online committee meetings.

In continuation of this, the Chairman of the Legislative Council, Kunwar Manvendra Singh, has postponed all previously scheduled tour programmes of the Council Committees until further notice.

This information was given by the Principal Secretary of the Legislative Council, Dr Rajesh Singh.

He stated that district-level officials will participate in parliamentary committee meetings through video conferencing until further notice.
