Bollywood gossip mills are working overtime again, and this time the chatter is all about Deepika Padukone. The actor is currently navigating her pregnancy and is still very much in the middle of her packed film schedule. And the biggest buzz right now is around her upcoming big-budget film ‘Raaka’, directed by Atlee and co-starring Allu Arjun.
Sources from the sets suggest that while Deepika is continuing to shoot, the makers are carefully adjusting the filming process to keep things safe and smooth for her.

The film is now quietly being reshaped behind the scenes so that the star can continue working without putting herself under physical strain. And yet, despite all these changes, her role is reportedly untouched in terms of importance, screen space, impact.
Body double steps in for high-octane stunts
The most talked-about update from ‘Raaka’ is the decision to use a body double for Deepika Padukone during the film’s intense action sequences.
According to production sources, this move has been taken purely as a safety measure considering her pregnancy.
The film includes several physically demanding stunt portions, and the makers did not want to take any risks while maintaining the high-energy tone of the project.
These sequences, which involve large-scale action setups, will now be performed by a trained double. However, this does not mean Deepika is stepping away from film’s action world entirely.
Instead she will continue to shoot all key emotional beats, close-up performance shots, dramatic scenes that form backbone of her character.
No change in screen space
Despite the use of a body double, reports strongly confirm that Deepika Padukone’s role in ‘Raaka’ has not been reduced in any way. Her character is still positioned as one of the key protagonists in the story by sharing major screen moments with Allu Arjun.
Sources close to the production have even described her introduction in the film as a “stellar entry.”
Interestingly, there were early rumours suggesting that her pregnancy might lead to trimming of scenes, but insiders have clearly denied this.
