‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’ OTT release date and platform

The romantic drama ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’ is all set for its OTT debut on Netflix on Friday, April 17.

This OTT release comes nearly two months after the film first hit cinemas. The movie had a slow run at the box office and could not make strong impact in theatres.

Box office struggle and production power behind the film

Despite a strong team behind it, the film failed to attract big crowds. It collected around ₹9.27 crore in India over 27 days. It is a weak performance for a theatrical release featuring popular faces.

The film carries the backing of big industry names, including Sanjay Leela Bhansali, along with producers Prerna Singh, Umesh Kumar Bansal, and Bharat Kumar Ranga. It has been made under the banners of Zee Studios, Rancorp Media, and Bhansali Productions.

What the film is about

Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film follows two very different young professionals whose lives slowly collide.

Siddhant Chaturvedi plays Shashank, man who believes deeply in romance and emotional connection. Mrunal Thakur plays Roshni, practical thinker who prefers logic over emotions.

The story builds around their contrasting personalities and question of whether two opposite people can ever understand each other.

What’s next for Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi

For Mrunal Thakur, the year has been a mixed phase. Both ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’ and her earlier release ‘Dacoit: A Love Story’ could not perform well at the box office. Now attention is shifting to her upcoming film ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ where she stars alongside Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde.

Siddhant Chaturvedi, meanwhile, is not chasing multiple back-to-back projects this year and is comfortable with limited releases. One of his films has already released, while another project titled ‘Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling’ is still in post-production. Directed by Vikas Bahl, this film also features Jaya Bachchan and Wamiqa Gabbi.
