In a move aimed at expanding its social base and spreading the message of Hindutva to a wider audience, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is gearing up for a large-scale nationwide outreach drive.

According to sources from the organisation, the campaign will have a particularly extensive focus on Uttar Pradesh, where RSS cadres aim to reach over one crore households across the state’s six organisational regions.

The initiative, titled the “Griha Sampark Abhiyan” (Home Contact Campaign), is set to run from November 20 to December 21, during which more than 25 lakh volunteers across India will visit homes to connect with citizens and distribute literature related to the RSS ideology.

Sources said the volunteers will hand out posters of “Bharat Mata”, along with booklets and pamphlets detailing the RSS’s philosophy, objectives, organizational structure, and vision for social transformation.

The campaign will primarily focus on the Sangh’s “Panch Parivartan” (Five Transformations) programme, which emphasises five key areas: family values, environmental conservation, self-reliant economy (Swadeshi), civic responsibility, and social harmony. Volunteers will seek to raise awareness on these themes through direct engagement with households.

The timing of this campaign coincides with the RSS entering its centenary year, an event that sources describe as not merely symbolic but also an opportunity to infuse the organisation with renewed energy and expand its grassroots connections.

The blueprint for this nationwide outreach was hinted at by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat during his visit to Kanpur earlier this year, where he urged volunteers to reach out to families and strengthen the spirit of equality, unity, and social responsibility in society.

Insiders believe the campaign could also have broader social and political implications, particularly in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.

The exercise is expected to help the RSS gather valuable household-level data and local inputs and strengthen its on-ground network and assets that could significantly aid future social initiatives and organisational expansion.
