In showbiz, sometimes the spotlight shines on you for reasons you never expect. For Avneet Kaur, that moment came earlier this year when a simple Instagram “like” from Virat Kohli turned into a national talking point.

Back in May, fans spotted the cricket star’s name among the people who liked Avneet’s stylish photo, where she posed in a crop top and mini skirt.

What might have been a harmless tap on the screen quickly snowballed into heated debates online. Memes, trolling, and wild speculation followed, pushing Kohli to step in with an unusual clarification.

Even with that, social media had already had its fun with Virat Kohli, while Avneet Kaur herself stayed completely silent at the time.

Fast forward to now, the young actress has finally shared her thoughts, though in her own subtle way. During the trailer launch of her upcoming film ‘Love in Vietnam’, a reporter asked her about the affection she receives from big names in the industry.

The question was cleverly framed without naming Virat, but everyone in the room knew what it meant.

Avneet smiled and responded simply, “Milta rahe pyar, bus. Aur kya bolu main?” Translation: “I just hope this love keeps coming. What else can I say?”

And her work is indeed making news. Avneet is gearing up for the release of ‘Love in Vietnam’, a project that has already created buzz internationally. The film was officially announced at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024 and is special for more than one reason.

It brings together talent from India and Vietnam for the first time, featuring Avneet alongside Shantanu Maheshwari and popular Vietnamese actress Kha Ngan.

Directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi and produced by Omung Kumar, the movie draws inspiration from the famous novel ‘Madonna in a Fur Coat’.
