The exercise, led by the Trishakti Corps, tested a range of cutting-edge technologies aimed at enhancing situational awareness, decision-making speed, and operational effectiveness. Troops employed a blend of ground-based platforms and aerial assets—including UAVs and drones—to simulate realistic combat scenarios in challenging Himalayan conditions.

A major highlight was the deployment of AI-powered sensors integrated with secure communication networks. These systems enabled seamless data flow from surveillance units to command centres, ensuring rapid analysis and swift action—establishing a robust “sensor-to-shooter” chain.

Lieutenant General Rakesh Kapoor, deputy chief of army staff, reviewed the exercise on behalf of Army Headquarters.
“Exercise Divya Drishti has been a resounding success,” said Lt Gen Zubin A Minwalla, GOC, Trishakti Corps. “Testing such advanced systems in the field will shape our future doctrines, technology development, and combat readiness for all terrains and threats.”
According to PRO Defence, the exercise underscores the Army’s commitment to indigenous innovation and technology-driven transformation, in line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision and the Army’s Decade of Transformation initiative.
