Twenty-six persons detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA) in various prisons in Jammu and Kashmir are being shifted to the central jail at Agra in Uttar Pradesh.
The government is learnt to have ordered their immediate shifting to Agra for which purpose a special aircraft was flown to Srinagar.

Most of these persons were suspected to be involved in terror activities or providing logistics to terrorists.

Authorities informed that at least three bodies have been recovered in Surankote after landslides, flash floods, and torrential rainfall, while several people remain unaccounted for.
Officials informed that this coincides with the suspension of the Shri Amarnathji Yatra due to the inclement weather forecast.
