Ahead of India vs Australia 1st T20I, here is everything you want to know.
Virat Kohli-led India will aim to start their two-month-long Down Under tour on a winning note as they are set to take on Australia on Wednesday in their first T20 International match of the three-match series.
The series opener between India and Australia will be played at the Gabba, Brisbane. The match will start at 1:20 pm. India will enter the tournament as favourites after hammering the West Indies 3-0 at home. On the other hand, the home team will aim to get back on winning track after suffering a 21-run loss at the hands of South Africa in a curtailed encounter. The defeat was also Australia’s sixth loss in eight games. Before South Africa, Australians were whitewashed by top-ranked Pakistan 0-3 in the United Arab Emirates.
The last time when India played a T20I series in Australia, it was under former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni in January 2016. The Indian side had then blanked the hosts 3-0.
