The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday denied allegations of paper leak of its Class 12 Accountancy examination. The board asserted that all seals were found intact in the examination centres.

“There has been no leakage of the question paper. All the seals have been found intact at all exam centres. However, at local level, some miscreants may have circulated messages through WhatsApp and other social media platforms to hurt the sanctity of the exam,” a senior CBSE official was quoted as saying by PTI.

“The board has decided to take strict action against such activities. An FIR is being lodged,” the official added.

Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that the Class 12 accountancy question paper of CBSE was leaked on WhatsApp.

Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia ordered an inquiry into the matter.

The minister tweeted: “Received complaints about the Class 12 CBSE Accountancy paper being leaked. Have asked officers of Directorate of Education to investigate and lodge a complaint with CBSE.”

“Swift action must be taken, so that hard-working students don’t suffer due to negligence of CBSE,” he added.

The reports of the leak came a day after a lawyer in Delhi wrote to CBSE complaining against an exam centre for transporting sealed parcels containing answer sheets of chemistry paper in the Delhi Metro without security.

According to reports, the Board said that the answer sheets in the particular case were not compromised. It also issued guidelines to centre superintendents instructing them to take measures so that such incidents are not repeated.
