Earlier, Virat Kohli led team India created history in the rainbow nation by becoming the first ever Indian side to win a One Day International (ODI) series against South Africa in their backyard.
After their series defeat in the three-match Test series by 2-1, Men-in-Blue bounced back and achieved a rare double series win. Visitors won six-match ODI series by 5-1 and three-match t20 series by 2-1.
The Indian cricket team will face their next challenge in the form of 2018 Nidahas Trophy. The tournament will start on March 6 in Sri Lanka. Other than India and Sri Lanka, Bangladesh will also fight for the title.
However, Virat Kohli along with MS Dhoni and some other senior players have been rested from the series. In Virat’s absence, Rohit Sharma has been named the skipper.
