Railways operating record-breaking 9,111 trips during summer season of 2024
This marks a substantial rise compared to the summer of 2023, where a total of 6,369 trips were offered.
A railway official said on Wednesday that the Gomti Express, which runs between Lucknow and New Delhi, has been cancelled till March 17.
The train was cancelled due to fog until January 31. The Northern Railway said this has been extended.
Earlier in November 2017, Gomti Express (12419) stands cancelled for the next 50 days due to the same reason.

According to the official, The latest cancellation was necessitated due to work on platform 16 at the Charbagh railway station.
On an average, around 1,800 passengers commute on the 23-coach train daily.
