Himachal minister approaches speaker invoking anti-defection law against 3 MLAs
The three MLAs' petition is pending in the high court against the Speaker for not approving their resignation from the State Legislative Assembly.
Governor Acharya Devvrat dissolved the Himachal Pradesh Legislative assembly with immediate effect under Article 174(2) (b) of the Constitution of India on Thursday.
The notification in this regard has been issued on Thursday by the Governor Secretariat.
Earlier on 19 December, the Governor has requested the present government headed by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to continue in office and discharge its functions till the new government is formed on the basis of 2017 Assembly elections results.
