Max temperatures in most parts of India likely to be above normal in May: IMD
Rainfall during May 2024, averaged over the country as a whole, is most likely to be normal (91-109% of LPA), the IMD said.
It was a misty Monday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature settling at 9.4 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season’s average, Met Office said.
“There was mist on Monday morning. The sky will be clear throughout the day,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The IMD official further said the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 23 degree Celsius.

The humidity till 8.30 a.m., was recorded 70 per cent while the visibility stood at 1,500 metres.
Sunday’s maximum temperature was recorded 24.3 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season’s average, while the minimum temperature settled at 14.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average.
