Arguably the biggest match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will be between India and Pakistan on Sunday. Every time the two teams have met on the World Cup stage, the competition has been fierce. However, India has never lost a World Cup match against their arch-rivals.

The reason is solid performances from India’s key players. Sachin Tendulkar (2526 runs), Rahul Dravid (1899 runs), Mohammad Azharuddin (1657 runs), Sourav Ganguly (1652 runs) and Yuvraj Singh (1360 runs) top the list of most runs scored by Indian batsmen against Pakistan. However, none of these batsmen are in the current Indian World Cup squad.

1. MS Dhoni – 1230 runs

India’s World Cup winning captain MS Dhoni has had a brilliant record against the Pakistan Team. In the current Indian team, Dhoni has played the most number of matches against Pakistan. He has played 35 matches and scored 1230 runs at an average of 55.90.

His tally of 1230 runs includes a couple of centuries and nine half-centuries. In the 2019 Indian World Cup Squad, Dhoni has the most runs against Pakistan.

2. Rohit Sharma – 580 runs

The second name on the list is Rohit Sharma. India’s stylish right-handed opener has played 15 One Day Internationals (ODIs) in which he has scored 580 runs at an average of 44.61. In the process, he has scored a hundred and six half-centuries.

In the ongoing edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup, Rohit has already scored a hundred and a half-century. This makes him the player to watch out for against Pakistan. He is the only batsman on the planet to score three double hundreds in 50 overs cricket.

3. Virat Kohli – 459 runs

India’s run machine Virat Kohli is playing against Pakistan as a captain for the first time in World Cup Cricket. Kohli would want to win this match to make it a memorable one for himself and his side. Virat has had a good record against Pakistan.

Virat has played 12 matches against Pakistan and scored 459 runs at an average of 45.90. This includes a couple of hundreds and a half century.
