With the killing of four terrorists in the encounter between the Army and terrorists in the Naugam sector of Kashmir, the death toll reached seven on Sunday.

According to Colonel Rajesh Kalia, spokesman of the Army, four terrorists have been killed so far in the operation and three soldiers have also achieved martyrdom.

The encounter began on Saturday evening when the Army foiled an infiltration attempt by terrorists. Two soldiers and equal number of terrorists had lost their lives on Saturday night and the encounter was carried on overnight as some terrorists were suspected to be hiding in the forest.
