US President Donald Trump on Monday said that the entire country of Iran can be taken out in one night and that night might be tomorrow (Tuesday) night when his extended deadline to make a deal or reopen the Strait of Hormuz comes to an end.

“The entire country can be taken out in one night – and that night might be tomorrow night,” he said while addressing a press conference alongside US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe.

The US President claimed that American armed forces have carried out more than 10,000 combat flights over Iran, striking over 13,000 targets since February 28, when the US and Israel began their assault against Iran.

“Over the past 37 days, America’s armed forces have carried out more than 10,000 combat flights over Iran – unheard of,” US President Trump said during a press briefing on Iran war on Monday.

His remarks came shortly after Iran formally rejected the US ceasefire proposal and put forward its own 10-point plan to end the war.

The Iranian demands in the 10-point proposal include ending the regional conflict, securing transit through the Strait of Hormuz, reconstruction of damaged infrastructure and lifting sanctions against Tehran.

Trump earlier today confirmed receiving the 10-point Iranian proposal and said it’s not good enough. He, however, added that the Iranian proposal is a “significant step” as the country is negotiating now.

“I have seen every proposal you can imagine… They’ve made a proposal, and it’s a significant proposal — a significant step. It’s not good enough, but it is a very significant step. They are negotiating now, but it’s still a very significant step,” the US President said.

The US President has given Iran time till “Tuesday, 8:00 PM Eastern Time” to make the deal or reopen the Strait of Hormuz, threatening to strike power plants and civilian infrastructure in the country.
