Bhubaneswar, 4 September: Fifteen police stations in Maoist affected western Odisha districts of Nuapada, Bargarh, Bolangir and Kalahandi will be strengthened and eight police outposts in the region will be upgraded to police stations.
Police deputy inspector generals of the state presented their problems and requirements at the range level review meeting where the decision was taken.
All aspects beginning from crime control, curbing atrocities on women, combating the Maoist menace etc were discussed, said reliable sources.
The need to increase the manpower was emphasized and it was felt that at least 300 policemen should be recruited at the earliest.    sns
