Applications are invited for admission to the abovementioned courses. Applications in prescribed forms obtainable at the University Sales Counter on payment of Rs. 50 in cash between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on all working days (except Saturday, Sundays & University holidays) from 08-07-2013 to 16-07-2013 are invited for admission to the P.G. Courses of Studies in Arts and Commerce for the academic session 2013-15. C.U. P.N.C. candidate, if any may also apply. Selection will be made strictly in order of merit on the basis of percentage of marks for 60% of seats for C.U. students and rest 40% of seats on the basis of subject-wise Entrance Test for Non-C.U. and C.U. students. Under the category of 40% seats, the students be admitted on the basis of a MCQ test on OMR sheet either with 50 questions each carrying 2 marks or adhering to the standardized format of MCQ test of the University, whichever is applicable and negative marks & cut off marks will be applicable if necessary. (xxi) Folklore (100 seats): Hons. Graduate in Language and Literature / Social Science / Fine Arts.
B. 1-year Post-graduate Diploma Course in Adult Education (20 seats): Candidates having B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. are eligible.
C. M.A. / M.Sc. Education (60 seats): Candidates having Hons. in Education (30 seats) and B.Ed. (30 seats) preceded by regular Hons. in School Subject recognized by University and NCTE or equivalent Degree in Education are eligible.
D. M.Ed. Course (1 year) (35 seats): Candidate with at least 50% marks in Masters Degree in any school subject preceded by Hons. Degree in any subject and at least 55% in B.Ed. or any equivalent Degree from any Institution recognized by the University and NCTE.
E. 1-year certificate course in Russian Language (Seats = 30): Graduate in any discipline.
F. 1-year post-graduate diploma course in Russian Language (Seats = 30): Graduate in any discipline with certificate course in Russian Language.
G. Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.L.I.Sc.) (30 seats) Eligibility: Honours in any Subject.
H. Master of Library & Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.) (15 seats). Eligibility: Bachelor of Library & Information Science. Candidates (only K.U.) who have appeared at the 2nd semester examination, 2013 may also apply but they must submit the Final marksheet before the publication of merit list.
Application form along with three parts fee payment Challan can be downloaded from the University website: ( from 8th July, 2013. Application fee of Rs. 150 (for SC / ST Rs. 75) is to be deposited at any branch of State Bank of India using the three parts fee payment Challan. The downloaded filled in application form along with University copy of fee paid Challan & self-attested testimonials should be submitted to the respective Department within July, 19, 2013 (except Saturday, Sunday & University holidays) between 11-00 a.m. and 3-00 p.m. Relaxation & Reservation of seats as per rules.
*** Candidates willing to apply for both 60% (K.U. Students) and 40% (Open for all) needs to submit to separate application forms along with fees.
The last date to receive the filled in application forms is July 19, 2013 for all Courses.
