Mobiistar, a Vietnam-based smartphone company, has landed on Indian shores with serious intent and now, its new budget offering. Dubbed as Mobiistar XQ Dual, the smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 7,999 and it will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting from May 30.

The firm’s founder,  Carl Ngo has moved its global headquarters to India to ensure that Mobiistar makes a strong pitch in India. The company has also announced CQ for Rs 6,999.

The company has also announced some launch offers as well. To start with, users will get Rs 1000 off on exchange of any smartphone. Further, the smartphone comes loaded with Flipkart  Complete Mobile Protection plan as well. Apart from this, the device comes bundled with Reliance Jio instant cashback offer worth Rs 2,200. The cashback amount will be delivered in the form of recharge vouchers, which can be redeemed on the recharge of Rs 198 and Rs 299 plan.

The major highlight of the smartphone is the dual-selfie camera, which comes with a combination of 13-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor coupled with LED flash. Out of two selfie cameras, one comes with a wide-angle lens to capture a better view for selfies. The device bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash.

The XQ Dual features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, though it does not come loaded with the latest display trend which is now becoming a standard in the budget segment. The phone is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU.

The device is backed by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card slot. The Mobiistar XQ Dual is backed by a 3000mAh battery and it runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with company’s custom user interface on top of it. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, dual-SIM, FM Radio and micro USB port. The handset measures 154.3 x 76.6 x 7.9 mm and weighs 160 grams.

The company has also introduced CQ smartphone during the event as well. The device comes loaded with a 13-megapixel rear camera along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor.
