’18 lakh vulnerable pensioners left in the lurch’: Naveen slams Odisha govt for three-month delay in pension

Stepping up his attack on the BJP-led Odisha government, Leader of the Opposition and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik on Friday accused it of failing the state's most vulnerable citizens over the non-disbursal of social security pensions to nearly 18 lakh beneficiaries for the last three months, and urged Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to ensure immediate release of the pending payments.

J&K Chief Secretary pushes for timely completion of disaster recovery works

The Chief Secretary directed the departments to immediately finalize and submit all pending permanent restoration projects proposed under the PDNA framework. He also asked the departments to submit additional restoration proposals amounting to approximately Rs 232 Cr to the Finance Department for further consideration.
