Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit Washington on Monday to meet US President Donald Trump and discuss ending the war, following Trump’s summit with Russia’s Vladimir Putin in Alaska that produced no breakthrough.

Zelensky said the meeting will focus on “ending the killing and the war” following a long phone call with Trump joined by European leaders.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday stated that the Ukrainian security forces have captured two North Korean military personnel in the Kursk region amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
During their meeting, Zelenskyy also expressed his gratitude for the US's support in Ukraine's defence efforts.
In response to the attacks that left at least 31 people dead and over 150 injured, Ukraine urgently called for a meeting of the UNSC.
At the press briefing, Sullivan said, "President Biden will host President Zelensky of Ukraine here at the White House on Thursday."
After meeting with his Italian counterpart and Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian forces were "preparing very seriously."

All parties understood "the fact that Ukraine needs constant and full support in defense against Russia," said the Ukrainian president.
