“I’m one of the few people who can say he directed Trump,” Allen recalled. “He was a pleasure to work with and a very good actor. He was very polite, hit his mark, did everything correctly."
He added that he does not believe boycotting art or cultural exchange helps anyone. “Whatever politicians have done, I don’t feel cutting off artistic conversations is ever a good way to help.”
Recently while working on his 50th film in Europe, Woody Allen told a Spanish newspaper that he intends to retire from making movies and dedicate more time to writing during his twilight years. Set in Paris, Allen's last film will be shot entirely in French in a couple of weeks.
