National spokesperson and social media chairperson of the Congress party, Supriya Shrinate, on Tuesday alleged that in the name of the Women's Reservation Bill, the Modi government attempted to undermine the country's democracy, federal structure, and Constitution.
BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla alleged that PM Modi has been targeted over his OBC background, humble beginnings as a tea seller, and now for advocating women’s reservation. He further alleged that Congress leaders had been directed by the party’s top leadership to intensify attacks against the Prime Minister.
Accusing the Congress, DMK, TMC and SP of insulting the 'Nari Shakti', Modi said, "A woman forgets everything, but she never forgets her insult."
